Giordano Pavan artwork

Abstract seascape with stylized sailing ships

Abstract marine by Giordano Pavan, original signed G. Pavan. Gilt frame.
The work depicts an abstract seascape with stylized sailing ships, constructed through bold lines and intense colors. The composition is divided into three horizontal bands, as if to recall the reflection of the image on the water, in a visual play between reality and reflection.
The gestural stroke and the strength of the color recall the Italian Abstract Expressionism of the 1960s-80s, with strong references to the School of Burri and Vedova, but with a more lyrical and poetic note. Pavan’s work, in fact, blends form and color in a personal and vibrant synthesis, where the boat becomes a symbol of inner and spiritual journey.
The work is accompanied by a certification on a photo dated 08/24/1985.
