Let’s try in two words to give an idea of the inexhaustible wealth of Italian design from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s.
Let’s start by mentioning the armchairs and sofas by Marco Zanuso (Milan 1916 – 2001) and Ignazio Gardella (Milan, 30 March 1905 – Oleggio, 15 March 1999), the furniture by Franco Albini (Robbiate 1905-Milan 1977), Osvaldo Borsani (Varedo 1911 – Milan 1985) and Carlo De Carli (Milan 1910 – 1999), chandeliers and lamps by Gino Sarfatti (Venice 1912 – Griante 1985), Tommaso Barbi, Luigi Caccia Dominioni Milan 1913 – 2016), and the Arredo Luce and Stilnovo productions.
Only en passant we mention the legendary Gio Ponti (Milan 1891 – 1979) and Carlo Mollino (Turin 1905 – 1973).
