This Italian brass bar cart from the 1980s combines warm metallic accents with the transparency of acrylic and glass. Its open construction gives the piece a light visual presence, while the brass frames define the outline of each shelf. This vintage serving cart brings together everyday practicality and carefully considered details.
Brass and Clear Acrylic
The vertical acrylic supports connect the two shelves without forming an opaque barrier. This surrounding furnishings therefore remain visible through the structure, while the brass elements introduce warmth and a gentle play of reflections.
The handle is a particularly appealing feature. A clear horizontal bar joins two curved brass fittings, creating a transition between the cart’s straight lines and softer forms. Rounded ends complete the detail and give the upper section a balanced appearance.
A Two-Tier Bar Cart with a Bottle Rack
The two glass shelves provide separate surfaces for arranging glasses, bottles and serving accessories. A brass bottle rack is incorporated into the lower level, keeping this practical feature consistent with the rest of the design.
Four swivel casters complete the brass bar cart. Their metallic details echo the shelf frames and handle fittings, bringing visual continuity to the piece from top to bottom.
The cart measures 70 cm high, 74 cm long and 38 cm deep, approximately 27.6 × 29.1 × 15 inches. These dimensions allow you to assess its placement beside a seating area or near a dining table, leaving sufficient space around it for use.
A Practical Accessory and a Design Object
This Italian bar cart can be paired with wooden furniture, upholstered seating or contemporary surfaces. Its brass details introduce a warm accent, while the clear acrylic supports keep the overall appearance light.
The vintage serving cart can be used for drinks or to create a small home bar, with bottles on the lower shelf and glasses within easy reach.
Beyond its practical function, it is a design object that enhances an interior through the transparency of its materials and the elegance of its brass details.
