In one hand, she holds a large bunch of freshly picked broccoli and a jug in the other. At the base of the pedestal, is the following inscription: “GVB e Bongiovanni. Vaccaro da Caltagirone, premiato nella Universale esposizione di Londra 1862.” [G.V.B. and Bongiovanni Vaccaro da Caltagirone, awarded at the Universal London Exhibition 1862. Minor flaws. Splendid patina.
