Gruppo Forma 1
Together with the artists Carla Accardi, Ugo Attardi, Pietro Consagra, and Piero Dorazio, his high school classmate at Giulio Cesare, Mino Guerrini, and Antonio Sanfilippo, he was a founder and co-signer of the avant-garde group called Gruppo Forma 1. The group was much inspired by Marxist and formalist ideas, with particular attention given to form and sign.
Galleria di Roma
He worked with Sottsass Jr. to organize the Abstract Art exhibition in Italy, which was at the Galleria di Roma (1948).
Concrete Art Movement
Achille Perilli joined the Concrete Art Movement in 1948 (link), with Soldati, Munari, Monnet, and Dorfles becoming part of a powerful counter-movement to the Neorealism spreading at the time. He was a world-renowned artist whose influence is still felt in current artistic movements. He participated in several Venice Biennales (1952, 1958, 1962)
Interesting fact
He took part in the 34th Venice Biennale in 1968, which was the year of great protest, with a room dedicated to him but he closed the room in support of the protests underway.

In 1959 he took part in the Sao Paolo Biennial. Between 1948 and 1986, he took part in five editions of the Quadriennale di Roma; in 1995 he became a member of the National Academy of San Luca.
