Ceramics
In 1927, the factory in Turin started to make ceramics. The following year, in 1928, the Lenci factory introduced an extensive catalogue of furniture sculptures and objects, which soon became must-have items among the Italian middle classes.
Scavini and König’s artists
Enrico Scavini and Helen König, an artist couple, drew on the support of highly skilled technical staff and twenty talented painters and sculptors, including Bartolomeo Camisassa, Gigi Chessa, Felice Tosalli, Abele Jacopi, Sandro Vacchetti, Mario Sturani, Giulio Da Milano, Ines and Giovanni Grandi, and Giovanni Girardi. They reached an impressive level of innovation in form and quality of execution for a vast production of multiple series made in hand-painted earthenware with a collage technique.
