The company Cavatorta was set up in Rome in 1869, and has remained a family-owned business specializing in the production of exclusive furniture both in terms of aesthetics and quality of workmanship.
Over time they obtained orders from embassies, hotels, schools and ministries but the jewel in the crown is the prestigious contract for furnishing the dining room of the magnificent ocean liner Andrea Doria, which also featured the works of Gio Ponti and Fornasetti.
