This brass and glass bar cart brings decorative detail to a practical serving piece. Dating to the twentieth century, it combines transparent shelves with curved metal supports, rope motifs and pierced galleries in a design of neoclassical taste.

The curved supports are worked to resemble twisted rope. Crossing along the longer sides, they introduce movement between the two rectangular shelves with rounded corners.

Small ornamental details mark the intersections and ends of the supports. These accents give the framework a distinctive character and reward a closer look from different angles.

The galleries surrounding the shelves feature a pierced Greek-key pattern, accompanied by fine horizontal lines. Their geometric rhythm balances the curves of the supports and defines the outline of the glass surfaces.

The upper shelf provides a surface for arranging glasses and serving accessories. Shaped handles at either end complete the outline of the upper frame.

Ring-shaped bottle holders are incorporated at both ends of the lower shelf. Their open form accommodates bottles while keeping the glass surface and the framework beneath it visible.

Four rubber-rimmed casters complete the serving cart. It measures 65 cm high, 68 cm wide and 46 cm deep, approximately 25.6 × 26.8 × 18.1 inches.

The warm color and patina of the brass contrast with the clarity of the glass. This combination allows the cart to sit alongside wooden furniture, upholstered seating or contemporary surfaces without creating a visually solid barrier.

Used as a drinks cart or to furnish a small home bar, it offers space for bottles and glassware on two levels. Beyond its practical function, this vintage serving cart is a design object that enhances an interior through its curved supports and carefully detailed galleries.

Its appeal lies in the relationship between structure and ornament: the decorative elements also define the cart’s silhouette and connect its two shelves.
