In 2005, we opened our gallery in Paris at the prestigious March\u00e9 Serpette<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Every weekend, thousands of visitors from all over the world came to the market. Alongside antique dealers, interior decorators and designers, it was not unusual to meet internationally renowned figures from the worlds of fashion, music, cinema, sport and gastronomy.<\/p>\n

Over the years, we had the pleasure of welcoming personalities such as Alain Ducasse, Valentino, Madonna, Rod Stewart, Demi Moore, Lionel Richie, Barbra Streisand, Mick Jagger and Mika.<\/p>\n

We were also fortunate to count among our clients Lenny Kravitz, Laetitia Casta, Giambattista Valli, Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Pi\u00e8ge, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Cindy Sherman.<\/p>\n

This remarkable Parisian experience, decisive both personally and professionally, lasted fifteen years.<\/p>\n

After fifteen years spent in Paris, an experience that proved decisive both personally and professionally, returning to Rome marked the beginning of a new chapter in our journey.<\/p>\n

In our native city, we continued an activity built over time through study, direct experience and an in-depth knowledge of the art market.<\/p>\n

For several years, our gallery was located on historic Via Margutta<\/strong>, in the heart of Rome, between Piazza del Popolo and Piazza di Spagna. Inextricably linked to the history of art and to the cultural life of the capital, Via Margutta represented an important stage in our professional development. The experience gained there further strengthened a knowledge of the market developed through direct contact with artworks, collectors and art enthusiasts.<\/p>\n

Today, Egidi MadeinItaly continues this long-standing experience in Rome in the fields of art and antiques, with particular attention to paintings, sculptures and works of art dating from the 17th to the 20th century.<\/p>\n

During fifteen years of professional activity in Paris, we came to fully appreciate the richness and distinctive character of Italy\u2019s artistic heritage.<\/p>\n

Our years in Paris and our experience of the international market showed us how Italian paintings, sculptures and creations by artists and designers occupy a unique place in the history of the decorative arts and in the taste of collectors worldwide.<\/p>\n

This led us to promote Old Master art, modern art and Made in Italy design, embracing an Italian identity that, during our Paris years, earned us the affectionate nickname \u201cLes Italiens.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Today, we continue to promote and champion Italian artists, both historic and modern. Our catalogue includes works associated with the Roman School and twentieth-century Italian art, alongside works by internationally recognised artists such as Alberto Biasi, Emilio Scanavino, Gastone Biggi and Carol Rama.<\/p>\n

One of our principal strengths lies in selecting works from private collections, often little known or previously unavailable on the market, chosen for their quality, artistic interest and authenticity.<\/p>\n

Since 2002, I have been registered as a court-appointed technical expert (CTU) with the Court of Rome<\/strong> and as an expert appraiser with the Rome Chamber of Commerce<\/strong>. This professional experience provides an additional level of expertise in the selection, study and evaluation of the works we offer.<\/p>\n

Whenever appropriate and available, modern artworks are accompanied by certificates of authenticity issued by the relevant foundations, archives or expert committees.<\/p>\n

For the study and attribution of Old Master paintings, when necessary we also consult recognised specialists and qualified experts, including professionals accredited by the Chambre Europ\u00e9enne des Experts-Conseil en \u0152uvres d\u2019Art (C.E.C.O.A.)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

On returning to Rome, I sometimes felt a certain affinity with the spirit of Antonietta Rapha\u00ebl<\/strong>, the singular figure associated with the School of Via Cavour whose Parisian experience had helped shape an independent, open and innovative artistic vision.<\/p>\n

The fifteen years spent in our Paris gallery had enabled us to build lasting relationships with clients, decorators and art-market professionals from all over the world. Once back in Italy, our aim was to preserve and further develop this valuable international network.<\/p>\n

The creation of Egidi MadeinItaly and its online art gallery<\/strong> therefore became a natural continuation of our professional journey.<\/p>\n

The growth of the online art market allowed us to extend the relationships we had built over the years with international decorators, designers and collectors. With just a few clicks, we could continue working with professionals we had met in Paris, as well as with private clients in Italy and abroad.<\/p>\n

Our experience overseas also helped us define our vocation more precisely: to offer carefully selected Old Master paintings, modern artworks, sculptures and works of art<\/strong> to private collectors, interior decorators and designers.<\/p>\n

Over time, these collaborations have allowed us to see some of our works become part of prestigious interiors, private residences, five-star hotels and high-end interior design projects.<\/p>\n

There is still a particular satisfaction in leafing through the glossy pages of interior design magazines and recognising one of our objects or artworks in a Hollywood residence, a fashion designer\u2019s atelier, the studio of a well-known musician, the kitchen of a celebrated Parisian chef, or the lobby of a five-star hotel in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

These experiences have never become routine. On the contrary, they continue to inspire our enthusiasm and the care with which we select every work we offer.<\/p>\n
