The gorgeous original frames are colored glass on wood.

On both panels, the fabric, protected by a glass pane, bears the words: “Soli e Lune Fornasetti Milano Made in Italy.”

Piero Fornasetti speaks in symbols. His suns, moons, and faces constantly refer to astronomy and human anatomy.

With brilliant finesse, he changes their scale, lets them proliferate in space, alters them, reinterprets them, expands them. His genius is on full display in this textile.
