Description

The two tabletops are made of two wonderfully unique, irregular pieces of veined fossil wood, supported on a three-foot base in black iron with golden highlights. In the lower part, the legs are joined together by a triangular piece, also black iron and gold. They are very stable.

Petrified wood is a fossil whose organic matter has been replaced by minerals in a slow process of permineralization. All organic material is replaced by mineral and the original structure of the wood remains. This is why petrified wood changes color, taking on the shades of the minerals in the earth where it is found.

Fossil wood is a beautiful design object and a fascinating piece of history for your home. Wood has a very long petrification process.

Being a natural object, each piece of fossil wood is unique.
