Max Ingrand Chandelier for Fontana Arte
Description
Iconic chandelier model 1462 A, made by Fontana Arte in the 1960s, designed by Max Ingrand.
The eight candelabra sockets are masked by a frosted glass shade.
The hanging lamp is supported by a conical-shaped stem in gilded brass with a satellite shape that renders it a key element as a prestigious and exclusive furnishing piece.
In 1936, the French artist Max Ingrand created a series of glass and crystal works that impressed Gio Ponti, the founder of Fontana Arte. It was indeed through Ponti's influence that Max Ingrand was named the company's artistic director 18 years later.
