Description

Gae Aulenti White and Inox Italian Pipistrello Lamp 1980

Table lamp or standing lamp with diffused light, adjustable height. Glazed stainless steel telescope. White opal methacrylate diffuser.
Designed in 1965 by Gae Aulenti for Martinelli Luce. The shape of conic base grows in the height through the ribs of the diffuser as the wings of a bat. Resting on a table or standing on floor this lamp features with its expressive power any type of environment. Martinelli Luce.

“I never thought of lamps in terms of technical lighting or like a machine for making light. But like forms in a harmonious relationship with the context for which they are created” (Gae Aulenti)
