Description

Walnut bench with open back.

The seat is its original, perfectly preserved straw. It was hand-crafted to make a checkered decoration, a difficult task; it is divided into two interlocking parts.

The front legs are smooth and tapered, curving slightly as they move upwards to form the support of the slightly undulating armrests.

The back legs are square and continue up to form the side supports of the backrest.

The open backrest has a square structure featuring four elegant openwork decorations in the center.

In Tuscany, Louis XVI style uses decorative motifs uncommon in furniture of this style, which usually stayed within the precision of classical formulas.
