Achille Perilli (Rome, 1927 – Orvieto 2021) together with the artists Carla Accardi, Ugo Attardi, Pietro Consagra, and Piero Dorazio, his high school classmate at Giulio Cesare, Mino Guerrini, and Antonio Sanfilippo, he was a founder and co-signer of the avant-garde group called Gruppo Forma 1. The group was much inspired by Marxist and formalist ideas, with particular attention given to form and sign.
