Luce Balla opera
Interior Scene with Floral Still Life
$3,276.00
Interior with floral still life on canvas signed Luce Balla (Rome,1904 -1994).
Description
Following the teachings of her father, Giacomo Balla, the artist applies a tulle fabric to the bottom of the painting, over which she spreads paint.
This process creates a "screen" that mimics the visual effect characteristic of intaglio printing.
Luce Balla was born in 1904, at the height of the Divisionist period, and was privately educated. She began sewing and embroidering at the age of twelve and continued throughout her life. Her skills were mainly concentrated in the applied arts. Luce's painting production developed later, especially in the second half of the 1930s and after the Second World War.Technical Details
