Description
Francesco Galante (1884-1972) was born in Margherita di Savoia in Apulia. He studied at the Institute of Fine Arts in Naples. his teacher was Vincenzo Volpe.
In 1910, he exhibited his work Sera, at the Internazionale di Venezia.
He subsequently took part in various exhibitions. The Salon de Paris, Brussels, Munich, the Rome Biennials. He executed the decorations for the new provincial palace in Reggio Calabria.
Among his most important works: Attrazione, Quiete, Nello studio, Giuliana, Graziella, Motivo semplice,
Francesco Galante, oil on round canvas embellished with a gilded wooden frame. Brass label with name and date of birth and death of the artist.
