Francesco Galante (1884-1972) was born in Margherita di Savoia in Apulia. He studied at the Institute of Fine Arts in Naples. his teacher was Vincenzo Volpe.
In 1910, he exhibited his work Sera, at the Internazionale di Venezia.
He subsequently took part in various exhibitions. The Salon de Paris, Brussels, Munich, the Rome Biennials. He executed the decorations for the new provincial palace in Reggio Calabria.
