Description

The woman portrayed is seated on a red sofa with large cushions on the back. On the upper left, we can see the lower part of a framed painting. The woman is wearing an elegant long black dress with lace detail and a round neckline, showing her shoulders and Modogliani-style long neck. A beautiful double strand pearl necklace stands out against her dark dress and a silver-gray fur stole is draped nonchalantly on her arms. She holds a small bouquet of blue flowers in her right hand and left elbow rest on the sofa's armrest. Her legs are elegantly crossed and we can glimpse her polished black heeled shoes. There is a rug on the ground. On the right, the signature, F. Ferraresi Rome 1934. A gilded wooden frame with black accents enhances the painting.
