Description

Fausto Pratella (Naples 1888-1946) internationally known painter. Son of the painter Attilio Pratella. He favored landscapes and seascapes.

This beautiful marine is characterized by the richness of its colors, with tones ranging from light blue to pearl gray, the extraordinary luminosity and the rendering of reflections on the water, obtained through quick and concise brushstrokes. The mobility of the brushstroke is concentrated in the reproduction of the wave motion of the sea. The work is enhanced by an ebonized wooden frame.
