Roberto Fontana (Milan, 1844 -1907), was part of the young, rebellious and nonconformist members of the Scapigliatura cultural movement .The group formed in Italy in the second half of the 19th century looked at existence with vivid eyes, constantly searching for an underlying link between physical reality and the psychic world.
