Oil on canvas attributed to Marco Marcola (Verona 1740-1793)

A woman dressed as a harlequin with the classic multicolored triangle dress is being embraced by a man dressed as Balanzone with his typical black dress and the mask hiding his face.

The two are embracing though the woman seems to not want to return this hug and looks away.

It came from a private collection.
