Description

Eduardo Dalbono (Naples 1841 – 1915)

The son of an art critic, he was a pupil of Marchetti in Rome and of Mancinelli and Domenico Morelli in Naples. He lastly frequented Filippo Palizzi’s studio, assimilating that loving care in the search for luminosity that he was able to imprint on all his lively paintings, notable for the sensitivity with which the transparencies of Neapolitan skies are treated. He was defined as the “continuer of the Posillipo School”.
