In 1875, Ettore Roesler Franz together with Nazareno Cipriani created the Society of Roman Watercolourists in Rome. This association also included the painters Dante Ricci, Pio Joris, Enrico Colemen, Giuseppe Carosi and Onorato Carlandi. Their intention was to pool new programmes, ideas and techniques to depict the expanses of the Roman countryside in full air.Technical Details
