Lalique trained in Paris at the École des Arts Décoratifs and he studied further in London (1878-80). In 1885, in Paris, he started to create jewelry, some of the most famous of the Art Nouveau period. Later, he focused on creating sophisticated pieces in rock crystal and glass featuring relief decoration.
