Nino Caffè
Nino Caffè, (1909–1975) painter, engraver.
In 1938, he took part in the Venice Biennale. He spent the war period in Urbino. His house was across from the Cathedral and from the window he could see seminarians, who became his young priests.
They would be his favorite subject to paint, earning him the nickname, the painter of priests.
His works are appreciated by leading European and American collectors, gaining international
acclaim.
He opened a studio in Rome and worked with Galleria dell'Obelisco, owned by Gaspero del Corso and Irene Brin. The gallery inaugurated its New York branch with his solo show.
Nino Caffè also worked with Galleria Gianferrari in Milan, Galleria Vicolo in Genoa, and Galleria SanLuca in Verona.
