Cosmo d’Angeli (1889 – 1968) was an Italian painter and sculptor.

Cosmo d’Angeli was born in Rome in 1889.

He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome before starting to work as a painter and sculptor.

He exhibited in many galleries and salons in the Italian capital.

He won many awards, including the Tavoletta D’Oro.


While his work started off Impressionist, over time it became more like that of the Macchiaioli.

He also devoted himself to sculpture.

Many of his works are in private collections in France, Germany, England, Belgium, and especially the United States.

La Covata from 1962 is on display at the Museum of Modern Art in Rome.

He died in Rome on November 28, 1968.
